Missions

Zion Lutheran Church is committed to reaching out for Christ locally, regionally, nationally and globally.  We currently support 12 local ministries through our monthly benevolence.  Our mission endowment fund provides funding for mission projects near and far.  We also have been involved in several habitat for humanity trips.


Potential Exploratory Trip in 2009 to Santa Clara, Guatemala

A small group of individuals from Zion is prayerfully considering an exploratory mission trip to Santa Clara, Guatemala in early 2009. This trip would be different from the previous Habitat/Thrivent trips. We hope to learn more about the educational needs of the children in this small village and discern God's call to partner with a group to support the start of a new school in the village. If this is something that sounds interesting to you we ask that you prayerfully consider joining us. 

This trip is still in the early planning stages so details have not been worked out yet - but we would like to have this trip planned by the end of 2008.

Habitat/Thrivent Build - August 2008

This trip is ready to take off and spread the love of Christ through service and giving of our time and talents in Honduras. Please pray for all of the members on this build team as well as all missionaries around the world.
